Sladesnews

Sladesnews Hi, this is Gramma.....I'm glad you talk back and forth, Taylor and Jamie. on the blog. Do you talk at home?
Dear Cam--(alias J.S.) Thanks for adding all the news. So sad about the back pack. You can relate to poor Kari's plight. She has journaled on her computer for the past few years, and her computer crashed! She's lost about 3 years. And once Paul lost his stuff out of his truck--his planner, etc. Those things are not of material value, but priceless in other ways.

Speaking of "sheers" the ones that Mackenzie purchased in Italy look beautiful in her bedroom....
That is so great that you are in an opera. We want to hear all about it.
C.J.: You are awesome with the photoshop!
Beth, you make us all want to play in the water park!
Hope to see some of you on the 4th (we know you can't make it, Tay and Jamie, as you're leaving for the trek....good luck with the handcart thing!!!) We'll light a sparkler for you.
(Isn't baby Emmy darling? I got to hold her tonight)
Love ya all, Mom & Dad, Gr & Gr

TAYLOR!

Just so you all know, i did NOT post that one below....that was Taylor. He likes Tower of Terror too, so i guess he's just calling himself a pansy! :P

Ehem. . .

Tower of Terror is for pansies. Ride a dirt bike.

Hey!

Hi family! This is Jamie. I've been at Disneyland (and California Adventure) for the past couple days. I just got back yesterday. It was so much fun! I went with my friend Kasey, it was awesome to hang out with her in California! And i've decided Tower of Terror is officially my favorite ride EVER! If you've never been on it.... go! Because it's the best! Next week Tay and I are going on a pioneer trek in Wyoming, which should be pretty fun, but challenging! The day after we get back from that, our family is singing in sacrament meeting, then the next day my mom and I are leaving for Italy!!! I am so psyched! Cami, we're gonna have a blast. Oh and good luck with that Opera! It sounds awesome! lol

Italian update

Hey guys, this is Cami, I just thought you guys might want an update on whats goin on in this corner of the earth. So, here's an update on each of us and some pics

Dad: well, dad is really kinda bored and is constantly thinking up business' to start here but its all good and we're all really good at Phase 10 now... its a constant on going game in this house:). Don Couverette just got here with his son Skye (he was here on his mish like a year ago or something) and him and Dad are HILLARIOUS. We sit outside till like midnight just listning to them talk and its soo funny.

Mom: I'm not sure, but mom seems kinda bored too haha. Today she went to the market and looked at sheers for our house in Utah, but they were all kinda weird.

CJ: Yeah, cj is bored, i'm just sure of it:). But he is working on his Eagle so thats all good.

Me: Holy cow, I have a crazy life. When Jenne and Kenzie were here we had a BLAST and we just shopped and had soo much fun. For the last 2 days of their visit, Me and mom went with them to Venice just over night and that was soooo fun. Kenze and i would walk down the street and check out guys hahhaa! It was awesome. Hey kenze, remember that guy who like stopped and he was like "ciao bella!" HAHAHA!! Yeah.. good times.
Ok... next thing... our district had a youth party at a water park about a week ago and, like always, I took in my backpack that had like my shorts and shirt and my journal in it. (I bring my journal everywhere because if I have like 2 minutes to spare, I'm writing). Well, the day went awesome, we all had a great time, and there was a group of about 200 American teenagers there on a tour, so I got to talk to some normal people for a while! YAY! But they were kinda scary, so I didnt like "talk" it was just like "hey, you're american.. sweet!". Anyway.. we were packing up to leave and my backpack was gone. Like... GONE. We searched till the place closed, but I'm pretty sure it was picked up by someone dumb who thought there was something of value in there. So... 262 pages about 2 months in Italy are gone. Call me Joseph S.
Ok.. lets see... next thing... OH! I'm in an Opera! We have been practicing for a couple months and the premiere is Saturday, so that will be fun and its an amazing experience. We are performing it in our opera house in town, so that just adds to the feel of it! Think Phantom:)

Hanna: Hanna is in the opera too but she just in the chorus, which is cool too of course. Shes done with school so its kinda weird having her around, but its always a party:)

I think thats it... here is a picture of Me and Han in Cinque Terre, a beach town we went to a couple days ago

Florence Widescreen

Hia Everybody, just thought i'd share my latest creation.
Last time we went to Florence I took three pictures of the city from a nearby hill.
My dad had recently taught me some of photoshop. So i used what i learned and conjoined the pictures to make this one.

The Kloepfers are Coming!

Yes, we are! We'll be driving up this Friday and staying until Wednesday next week, so we hope to see as many of you Slades as possible and enjoy the fantastic Eden/Liberty 4th of July festivities. We've been enjoying our summer so far, swimming and playing with friends. A new water park just opened up the street from us that has been SO FUN! It's a huge park structure with stairs, bridges, water cannons, etc. in the middle of a 2 foot pool and it has a giant bucket that fills up and dumps every few minutes, with other water dumping and spraying everywhere the whole time. It's pretty amazing and the kids want to go every day. I'll have to take some pictures and post them. Anyway, we're excited to spend some time with all ya'll Utahns! Love ya! Beth

Fourth of July

So we've heard that Bethanie is coming... who else is coming and when will you be here?

Emmy's first camping trip

We headed down to Moab, Utah this past weekend with Caleb's family, and despite 100 degree weather, had a great time. We stayed in a little cabin at the KOA that had AC so we survived. I took this pic of Emmy just waking up, then I couldn't find my camera for the rest of the trip - hahaha! Sounds like me, eh? Caleb got some 35mm pics so when we get them developed I'll post some more. We saw bunch of beautiful petroglyphs and other cool stuff, so more later!

Figuring this out!

Figuring this out!

It's been about 3 months since I've got onto the blog! I kind of forgot about it, what with H.S. graduation and our Italy trip. If this works, I will get on more, and teach my kids to get on and we'll finally jump into it again.

Re: Totally Gnar -- But Tay, we want you to be alive, not dead. But true, we are looking forward to the pictures.
(We'll get to see if you can post pictures on a blog!!)

Something totally bizarre just happened. I was getting up off the computer chair, bumped the keyboard, and on flashed the Sladesnews blog screen. How could that happen when I haven't even blogged for the past few days? spooky.........

Totally Gnar

My friends and I have just purchased a freestyle ramp. Oh yes. In a few weeks I will be viewing the earth from forty feet higher than anyone else in the vicinity, aauhnd will be throwing some radical maneuvers at the same time. I bet you all can't wait for the pictures that come out of this investment. . . as long as I keep the rubber side down from now on, eh?

Jayleb = a townhouse IS a house, just ask Bethanie & PK. We drove by yesterday and peeked in the window, it's shhhhgreat.

Mac = what does 2.7 mean?

Jamie = Hope you had a great week "flushing."
Also, hope you have a happy birthday TODAY!
Fifteen big ones? wo.....seems you were just born.

Taylor = Well, I guess you're just too young to know about the family saying "Oh Brudder Bryan..." When Sara was way small, once when Bryan said something, like in a bragging manner, she said "Oh Brudder Bryan..." so everytime someone in the family brags about something, we say "Oh Brudder Bryan......" Get it? No? oh well, no big.

Jenne and Mackenzie are home from Italy safely. We loved your E-mail Travelogue #1, Jen, and looking for more.

Hey, the Kloepfers are coming here for the Fourth. We'd love to have anyone else who can come. Love, Gr & Gr

We bought a house!!

Ok it's actually a townhouse. But it's ours!! It's two story's and they're not stacked, so there's no one above or below. We closed last week and we're working away on it now. We have 2 months of living in my parent' s house before they get home from Italy (I can't wait) and so we're doing a lot of sprucing up before we move in. We started the painting today, and Caleb will be installing wood floors in the kitchen, dining room, and entry way. It's a lot of work but a lot of fun at the same time! We're totally thrilled. Can't wait for all you lovely family members to come visit us, hehe!

Sladesnews

Sladesnews p.s. Why does everyone think the Bryan-Tammy Family look different? Looks normal to us! (Well, actually
Tammy doesn't look her usual beautiful self).

By the way that reminds me.....we were riding along in a rental van in Hawaii and Jake (age 15 that day), said: "When I get married and have children I'm going to name one Bryan so that we can carry on the tradition of 'Oh Brudder Bryan....'"
Funny, Jake. Love, Gr

Thanks for the pictures, Bethie.
After sitting Grumpa down to read and look at the latest blogs and pictures, I said "Not everyone in the family blogs as yet, but the ones who do are certainly a riot....it's so fun, I'm so happy." Grumpa: "I don't blog as yet, and I'm so happy I don't."

Note to Camel: "Too" (meaning also) is spelled with 2 oos.

Another subject: quoting Dr. Jordan Rubin: "I believe that sleep is the single most important ingredient for digestive health....all good positive body reactions include improved sleep patterns.....getting enough sleep is essential...Nighttime is when the body detoxifies and regenerates. WHEN you sleep matters as much as how much sleep you get. Try to get at least 1 to 3 hours of sleep before midnight. In Biblical times people would rise and retire with the rising and setting of the sun." (How difficult is that!)
Another suject: How we wish we could have attended your
recital, Camie. You will play that for us sometime, won't you?

Poor Tay, poor Tay, poor Tay. There. You got some pity from someone else besides yourself. Love, Gr & Gr
We have such geniusey grkids, love you all, Gr & Gr
