We hope this blogging activity will be a fast, easy way to communicate our family doings, innermost thoughts, etc.! Backing up a bit because we haven't had a newsletter for awhile: The year 2005 was very eventful in many ways.....

--Lane Steinagel became known as Bishop Steinagel -
--Kari had morning sickness -
--Morgy won a handstand contest - Nickolas (the future talk show host)in karate - Austin basketball, soccer - Kenzie softball -
--Slade and a girl walked away from their school -
--Jesse in a Shakespeare play - Jordy beat almost everyone in a stick-
pulling contest - and was "Joseph Smith" in a play at Mutual -
--We (Gr&Gr) finished our 2-year "mission" at the temple -
--Melanie still attending Sac. State, working at Montessori school, Sierra College Library, etc.,
--Jo quit teaching Kimber Academy
--Paul and Kari find out they're have a boy! -
--Addison leaves for Marines -
--We tripped to Southern California (April)to visit Kloepfers and Aunt Dorothy -
--Tripped to Northern California - Grumpa ordained Jake a teacher and gave the
Aaronic Priesthood to Joey - nice experience.
--C.J. in a Shakespeare play (in the park) -
--Jake graduated from Montessori -
--Jayne announced her pregnancy -
--Tess and Chuck married - Kloepfers visited -
--Addison graduated from basic Marine training, finished "expert" in Rifle Shooting -
--Steinagels went to Southern California for Addison's graduation -
--Kloepfers, Paul-Kari and family, Bryan-Tammy family here(Eden) for July 4 weekend -

--We (Gr & Gr)went to JoAnn's ward girls'camp to help cook -
--Coleman Thomas Slade born (27Aug)!(Kari and Babe great) -
--Fifty years that were supposed to be celebrated quietly with just a dinner with
our local children became a huge surprise party with California children and grand-
children all here!!
--Jenne broke her foot -
--Morgan receives the Priesthood -
--We (Gr & Gr)trip to Yellowstone -
--Christensens leave for Italy -
--Paul into a Bishopric -
--Taylor gets his Eagle! -
--Darlene home from mission -
--Bryan-Tammy family to Disneyland (even 'tho Austin said, "Don't you think we're
getting too old for Disneyland?)
--Jess receives the Priesthood -
--Grumpa has knee replacement surgery (developed hematoma, etc)
Well, that's 2005 in a nutshell...it ended with a New Year's Eve
where the fireworks just would not ignite because it was such a wet night, so much
moisture in the air it felt like III Nephi 8:20,21.
