PROPOSAL AT THE VARSITY THEATRE (BYU)!!

Wow, this guy doesn't mess around. Taylor proposed to Kenzie at the BYU theatre by having them play a special DVD he made right before the movie started. Sorry it's so blurry! I was giggling too much I guess. These two are reeaaally in love! We are so excited to have that neat boy in our family! As well as joining with the Call-Nelsons in theirs!

Grandma and I were sitting on the floor talking about Alzheimer's disease, (and making fun of each other a lot) and she goes, "I found an artical about early alzheimer's the other day, and I forgot to print it off. HAHAHA!!!" And she laughed her famous grandma laugh. It was great. The end.

Just Food For Thought for fun

So get this!!! It's crazy.!!! I am a nanny for a one-year and a three year old. Basically, I raise their kids. I am there in the morning when they wake up and I am getting them ready for bed by the time I get off. They Are so sweet, but I feel bad that they are away from their parents and I want to quit, but they call me mom...and I feel so guilty leaving them.
Anyway...funny fact: They are Buddhists...but I've tought the kids ten primary songs by now...including, "I hope call they call me on a mission.." Hahahaha!! They love these songs and can sing them word-for-word. Parents don't seem to mind. Strange, eh?? : )

Spread the Word!!

Okay, time to start a new blog--but we've loved all the comments and congrats. We honestly feel overwhelmed and humbled for all this, but grateful and excited at the same time. We are mostly just anxious to get the next four months done, and get into the MTC with a feeling of relief that we can leave with all our loose ends tied up.

Please spread the word there's a cute little house in Provo for sale--and I think we're offering it at a pretty reasonable rate. $259,900 is what we're asking right now, but we'd even be willing to negotiate that. There's a house down the street exactly like ours and they're asking $269,900 (they might get mad at us). But Lane stuck the sign out yesterday, and we already had some lookers who were passing by and cruising our neighborhood looking. They came in even though the house was a mess! We are selling By Owner at this point, but may ask Dave Belnap to help in the future if needed.

Ukraine!!!

Hello family - I'm sure most of you have heard by now, but Lane and I today received a call to serve as mission presidents to Ukraine beginning July 1st this year. We are so excited to get back on a mission and to be able to take 3 of our children with us to share in the experience. We will be going into the MTC for Mission Pres. Seminar on June 22nd, and then we'll head out. We're not sure which mission yet, we'll find that out next week, hopefully.

We had a great exploratory interview with Elder L. Tom Perry at his office in S.L. 3 weeks ago, and were asked to keep it quiet until the official call came which was supposed to follow shortly. But then President Hinckley died 2 days later, and so we had to wait a little longer. It has been a little hard, with needing to get started selling the house, etc. But today we received a call (which we were told yesterday would be coming at 2 p.m.) from Pres. Ehrying (sp?) and had a wonderful chat with him (from his bed at home as he is recuperating from a broken foot). These are definitely sweet, wonderful, giant spirits that are at the helm of this church!

Anyway, we love you all and are so excited to begin this adventure. We're asking for prayers to be able to sell our house and 5 acres in Indianola to help us financially while we're gone and to have a cushion and money to buy a house when we get back (and don't think we're not excited to get out of this little house!).

GOOD NEWS

Hey family this is Jamie! I have very exciting news...well, for me anyways. Tooele had a snow day today! I'M SO HAPPY! Seriously, there hasn't been one for 30 years. We NEVER get to miss school for snow. But we did today, and I'm extremely stoked! Haha! Just in case anyone cared. Oh, and HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERYBODY! I LOVE YOU!! :)

Believe it or not, this is the walkway leading to grandma's! We're expirencing alot of snow this winter! Church was cancelled this morning and we (with much thankfulness for our 4 wheel drive) made it to grandma's for the Super Bowl! Hope your having as much fun as I am!

MAMMOTH!

There's a family from L.A. that likes to vacation at Snow Basin once a year and I usually help them teach their 3 little girls. About a week ago they called me and asked if I would like to ski with them at Mammoth in California over the weekend, and of course I said yes, so they flew me to L.A. and we drove up here! The snow is way different than I'm used to, but we're all having a blast!

I am serving now near Cocoa, and I live in Titusville. I'ts beautiful! and winter weather here is the bizniss. And I need to clear up the whole deal that everyone is talking about some iguana, and it's a chameleon hanging off my ear. if an iguana bit my ear I would be due for some serious cosmetic surgery! ha ha! anyway, I had my first baptism on Sunday! I'm short on time, but perhaps next week I'll elaborate. I love you all, my lovely, supportive family!
